March is Here!

I can see the end of winter, which means I can also see the end of the 10th Grade Wax Museum project! We have been working diligently on our papers and our speeches, and now we'll see the fruits of our labors. Wednesday night is the Wax Museum from 6:30-8:30 in the high school gym. All 10th grade students will be there with their boards, dressed up as their author, giving their speeches. All are welcome to come, enjoy, and torment their child and all of their child's friends by having them give their speeches over and over again. Next week I should have some great pictures to share on here. The research papers are due on Friday before they leave for the 1/2 day.

Here is the schedule for this week:

English 9

  • Monday, 3/2 - bell work; reflections for Act II due by midnight; start Act III
  • Tuesday, 3/3 - Academic Advisory - bell work; read Act III
  • Wednesday, 3/4 - Wax Museum from 6:30-8:30 - bell work; read Act III
  • Thursday, 3/5 - PSAT Advisory; P/T Conferences 3:00-5:30 - bell work; read Act III
  • Friday, 3/6 - 1/2 Day - bell work; Act III quiz if able, otherwise we'll try to finish Act III
English 10
  • Monday, 3/2 - bell work; present speeches for grading in class
  • Tuesday, 3/3 - Academic Advisory - bell work; present speeches for grading in class
  • Wednesday, 3/4 - Wax Museum from 6:30-8:30 - bell work; work day for boards
  • Thursday, 3/5 - PSAT Advisory; P/T Conferences 3:00-5:30 - bell work; edit and revise research papers
  • Friday, 3/6 - 1/2 Day - bell work; submit research papers on turnitin.com
