End of Semester 1

Here we are at the end of Semester One - halfway through the year and time for exams. Time sure moves quickly! If anyone has a student switching teachers for the next semester, thanks for coming along on this ride. I enjoy all my students and hope I get the chance to see you again someday. For most of you, you're stuck with me for one more semester!

Most of last week was all about finishing papers and projects. I've begun grading them all and will get those grades onto HAC sometime in the next few days.  This coming week is about exams for Semester 1 and scheduling for next year - English 10 is scheduling on Tuesday, 1/21; 1st Hour English 9 will schedule on Friday, 1/24; 2nd and 6th Hour English 9 will schedule on Monday, 1/27.

Here's the schedule for this week:

English 9

  • Monday, 1/20 - MLK Day - NO SCHOOL!
  • Tuesday, 1/21 - Academic Advisory - bell work; review for exam
  • Wednesday, 1/22 - bell work; create a Kahoot for Romeo and Juliet
  • Thursday, 1/23 - 1st Hour: Exam; 2nd and 6th - review for exam
  • Friday, 1/24 - 1st Hour: 1st Chapter Friday; 2nd and 6th: Exam
English 10

  • Monday, 1/20 - MLK Day - NO SCHOOL!
  • Tuesday, 1/21 - Academic Advisory - 3rd Hour: presentations; 4th Hour: bell work and review for exam
  • Wednesday, 1/22 - All: review for exam
  • Thursday, 1/23 - 3rd Hour: Exam; 4th Hour: review for exam
  • Friday, 1/24 - 3rd Hour: finish presentations; 4th Hour: Exam
